Easiest Business Line of Credit to Get in 2026: Requirements by Lender Type

“Which business line of credit is the easiest to get?” is now one of the most common financing questions owners ask search engines and AI assistants, and the honest answer has two parts. Online lines are the easiest to open: six months to a year in business, personal credit around 600 to 625 and $15,000 a month in deposits usually gets a limit in one to three days. Bank lines are the cheapest but the hardest. This guide lays out the requirements by lender type, the real approval odds, typical limits by revenue and how to get approved the first time.

What Is the Easiest Business Line of Credit to Get?

The easiest business line of credit to get is an online, revolving line underwritten on bank statements: typical minimums are six to twelve months in business, 600 to 625 personal credit and $15,000 or more in monthly deposits, with a decision the same day and draws available within one to three days. Secured lines against receivables or inventory are easier still for businesses with collateral, and a draw on an existing line is the easiest money there is. Bank lines at Prime plus 1 to 4 (about 8% to 11% with Prime at 7.00%) require two years, 680+ credit and often a blanket lien. Nationally, 45% of line of credit applicants were approved in full in 2026 and 24% were denied. RAN Funding compares one application across online, secured and bank line lenders with a single soft pull.

Real Approval Odds for Lines of Credit

Lines of credit were the second most-requested product in the Federal Reserve’s 2026 Small Business Credit Survey: 24% of all small employers applied for one. Of those, 45% were approved for the full limit, 31% for a smaller limit and 24% were denied. By lender, small banks fully approved 57% of all applicants and credit unions 44%; online lenders are chosen for speed, but 60% of their borrowers said costs ran higher than expected.

A partial approval usually means the lender sized the limit to deposits; it is still a line you can grow.

The partial-approval share is the key number: most line applicants get a line, just a smaller one than they asked for. Ask for a limit your deposits support and the odds of a full approval rise sharply. See how much business line of credit can I get.

Typical Limits by Monthly Deposits

Monthly deposits Online line (600 – 649 credit) Online line (700+ credit) Bank line (2+ yrs, 680+)
$15,000 $10,000 – $15,000 $20,000 – $30,000 Rarely offered
$30,000 $20,000 – $30,000 $40,000 – $60,000 $25,000 – $50,000
$50,000 $35,000 – $50,000 $60,000 – $100,000 $50,000 – $100,000
$100,000 $70,000 – $100,000 $120,000 – $200,000 $100,000 – $250,000
$250,000+ $150,000 – $250,000 $250,000 – $500,000 $250,000 – $1M+

Limits grow with use. A line drawn and repaid regularly for six months is routinely increased; one maxed out from day one is not.

Five Ways to Make Any Line Easier to Get

  • Apply after a strong three months, not during the slow stretch; lenders average recent deposits.
  • Clean the statements: under three NSFs in 90 days, no personal spending through the business account, no negative days.
  • Pay down or consolidate daily-payment advances first. Stacked positions are the most common reason a line is cut or declined. See reverse consolidation.
  • Offer collateral if you have it: receivables, inventory or equipment turn a 24% denial rate into a near-certain approval. See secured vs unsecured lines.
  • Ask for less than you want. A $50,000 limit approved in full and raised in six months beats a $150,000 request cut to $40,000.

Common Questions

Which business line of credit is the easiest to get?

An online revolving line underwritten on bank statements: typically six to twelve months in business, 600 to 625 personal credit and $15,000 a month in deposits, with a decision the same day. Secured lines against receivables or inventory are easier for businesses with collateral.

What credit score do you need for a business line of credit?

About 600 to 625 for most online lines, 650+ for the best online pricing and 680+ for bank lines. Below 600, secured lines and revenue-based financing are the realistic paths.

How fast can I get a business line of credit?

Online lines open in one to three business days after a complete application, with draws the same or next day. Secured lines take one to two weeks and bank lines two to six weeks.

Is a business line of credit easier to get than a term loan?

Slightly, by the 2026 data: 45% of line applicants were fully approved versus 35% for term loans, and lines were denied less often (24% vs 30%). Lines are also easier to size to deposits, which is why partial approvals are common.

Does Prime at 7% change line of credit approvals?

It changes the price, not the odds. Bank and most secured lines are priced at Prime plus a margin, so the September 2026 hike raised them by 0.25 points. Online lines with per-draw fees were largely unaffected.
