Med spas
Med Spa Business Loans and Financing
Med spas grow one device and one treatment room at a time — and both cost money before they earn it. Capital for lasers, injectables, build-outs and marketing — underwritten from your bank statements, funded in as little as 24–48 hours.

How Do Med Spas Get Business Financing?
Most med spas use equipment financing for devices and a cash-flow product — working capital, a line of credit or a merchant cash advance — for inventory, build-outs and marketing. Offers are based on the last 3 months of business bank statements (4 in some states). Established practices with 1+ year in business and $250,000+ in annual revenue can see offers from $20,000 to $500,000+, often funded in as little as 24–48 hours once approved.
Why a Med Spa Needs Financing Built Differently
Aesthetics is capital-intensive in a way most retail businesses are not. A single laser, body contouring or RF microneedling platform can be a six-figure purchase, and it only pays for itself once the calendar fills. Injectable inventory, provider hiring and marketing all have to be funded ahead of the revenue they bring.
The upside is that a med spa’s revenue is easy to read. Most treatments are cash-pay, card volume is high and verifiable, and memberships and packages create predictable monthly deposits — exactly what the fastest financing products are underwritten on.
What Owners Actually Use It For
- New devices: laser platforms, body contouring, RF microneedling and IPL.
- Injectable and skincare inventory bought deeper at better pricing ahead of a busy season.
- Build-outs and treatment rooms to add capacity or refresh the space.
- Hiring injectors and aestheticians before their books are full.
- Marketing campaigns that fill a new provider’s or device’s calendar.
The Products That Fit Best
| Product | Why it fits a med spa | Amounts |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment financing | Lasers and devices; the device itself is the collateral | Up to the full purchase price |
| Merchant cash advance | Repaid as a share of card sales, so it moves with volume | $20,000 to $500,000+ |
| Working capital | Inventory, payroll and marketing with minimal paperwork | $20,000 to $500,000+ |
| Line of credit | Draw for seasonal inventory and campaigns, redraw as you repay | $20,000 to $500,000+ |
| Term loan | A second location or major build-out | Up to $2,000,000 for qualified businesses |
Most med spa files are funded between $20,000 and $500,000+. One application for our lender network and one dedicated specialist means what comes back is a comparison rather than a single yes. For the trade-offs, see MCA vs business loan and equipment financing.
Requirements and Documents
- 1+ year in business as an operating med spa or aesthetic practice.
- $250,000+ in annual revenue — about $20,000 a month in business deposits.
- 3 months of business bank statements (some states require 4).
- A one-page signed application, plus a vendor quote for device financing.
Credit is considered, not decisive. Revenue-based products weigh your deposits more heavily than your score; lines of credit need 650+.
How Fast the Money Arrives
Working capital and merchant cash advances can fund in as little as 24–48 hours once approved. Equipment financing and lines of credit typically take 48–72 hours. Your specialist gives you the realistic timeline before you commit.
How the Amount Is Sized
Offers are sized mainly from your average monthly deposits and card volume, their consistency and any existing obligations. For device financing, the purchase price of the equipment sets the ceiling.
The Next Step
A specialist who understands card volume, packages and memberships reviews your file, explains every option in plain terms and brings back real offers. See what your med spa qualifies for — it takes about a minute and won’t affect your credit.
October 2026 Update: Rates, Approval Odds and Costs
Three things changed since this guide was last reviewed, and all three affect the numbers above.
- Prime is 7.00%, up from 6.75% on September 17, 2026, after the Federal Reserve’s first hike since 2023. Variable products (bank lines, SBA 7(a) loans, HELOCs) repriced a quarter point; fixed-rate and factor-rate products you already hold did not. The next Fed decision is October 28. See prime rate is 7%: what it means for business loan rates.
- New approval data: the Federal Reserve’s 2026 Small Business Credit Survey found 81% of applicants approved for at least part of their request and 42% in full; equipment loans (71%), merchant cash advances (48%) and lines of credit (45%) were approved in full most often, SBA (37%) and term loans (35%) least. See business loan approval rates in 2026 and easiest business loans to get.
- Cost pressure: 77% of small employers report rising costs and 47% cite tariffs; NFIB puts the average short-term loan rate at 8.2% (September 2026). The cheapest-tool-first playbook is in tariffs and small business working capital.
A Worked Cost Example
Factor-rate products are priced as a multiple of the amount, not as an interest rate. Offers start from a factor of 1.08. Here is what that means on a $45,000 advance, a common request size:
| Amount funded | $45,000 |
|---|---|
| Factor | 1.08 (the lowest available) |
| Total repaid | $48,600 |
| Cost of the money | $3,600 |
| Weekly payment over 6 months (26 weeks) | $1,869 |
| Each 0.01 above 1.08 adds | $450 |
Always compare offers on total repaid and on the payment as a share of your monthly deposits, not on the factor alone.
When This Financing Is the Wrong Choice
- The slow months are predictable and you can set cash aside in the busy ones. A line of credit drawn only when needed costs less than an advance taken every winter.
- You qualify for bank or SBA money and can wait. With two or more years in business, strong credit and a few weeks to spare, an SBA 7(a) or a bank term loan may cost less.
- Already carrying two or more advances? Ask about a consolidation or a reverse consolidation before adding another payment. Combining positions into one can lower what leaves your account each week.

Common Questions
Can I finance a laser or body contouring device?
Yes. Equipment financing can cover up to the full purchase price with the device as collateral, and typically funds in 48–72 hours.
Does being mostly cash-pay help?
It simplifies the file. High, verifiable card volume and recurring membership deposits are exactly what the fastest products are underwritten on.
Can I use funding for marketing or hiring?
Yes. Working capital can be used for any business purpose, and funding marketing or a new injector ahead of a full calendar is a common reason med spas borrow.
Is this financing for my clients’ treatments?
No. This is business financing for med spa owners. We don’t offer patient or treatment financing.
Can a new med spa qualify?
Not through these programs. They are built for practices with at least one year in business and $250,000+ in annual revenue.
Is RAN Funding a lender?
RAN Funding is a business financing broker, not a lender. One application reaches our lender network, and one dedicated specialist brings back the offers you qualify for with the term, payment and total cost side by side.
