Business Term Loans in Florida
A business term loan gives you one lump sum and one fixed payment schedule. You know the amount, the payment, and the payoff date before you sign. That structure makes term loans the cheapest option most Florida owners qualify for outside of an SBA loan.
RAN Funding is a Florida-based funding broker, not a direct lender. We do not underwrite or fund loans with our own money. We review your file, then place it with lenders in our network who compete for the deal.
That matters when you are shopping. You send one application instead of five, and you see more than one structure side by side.
What is a business term loan, and how does it work in Florida?
A term loan is a fixed amount of money repaid over a fixed period. You receive the full amount at funding, usually by ACH into your business checking account.
Payments are typically monthly, weekly, or daily, depending on the lender and your profile. Stronger files get monthly payments and longer terms. Newer or lower-credit files usually get shorter terms and more frequent payments.
Florida-specific details are mostly about paperwork, not pricing. Lenders want an active Florida registration on Sunbiz and a business bank account in the company’s name. Seasonal cash flow is common here, and good underwriters expect it in tourism, marine, construction, and landscaping.
Term loans suit equipment, a build-out, hiring, debt consolidation, or inventory ahead of season. They are a poor fit for a gap you expect to close in three weeks.
Who lends business term loans to Florida businesses?
Three realistic paths, and they are not equal.
Banks and credit unions. The cheapest term loans available. They also take the longest and decline the most applicants. Expect weeks, full financial statements, tax returns, and a real credit review. With two or more years in business, strong credit and profitable books, start here.
Non-bank and online lenders. Licensed commercial finance companies funding from their own capital. They cost more than a bank, sometimes considerably. In exchange they decide in days and accept files a bank will not touch.
Broker-placed financing. What RAN Funding does. We package your file and shop it across our lender network, then present the offers we get back. A broker does not set the rate — the funding lender does. What changes is how many underwriters see your file and how well it is presented.
Be honest about which lane you are in. If a bank will approve you, a bank is almost always the better deal.
Rates and terms: what actually decides yours
We do not publish rate tables, because a broker does not set the rate. The funding lender does, and the number you are offered comes out of your own file: how long you have been in business, how consistent your deposits are, your credit profile, your industry, and what you already owe.
What we can tell you is how to read an offer. Ask for these four before you sign anything:
- Total payoff — the full amount you will repay, not the rate.
- Payment amount and frequency — monthly, weekly, or daily.
- Every fee — origination, servicing, and anything deducted at funding.
- Early payoff terms — whether paying early saves you money, and how much.
Compare the total cost of capital, not the payment. A smaller payment stretched over a longer term routinely costs more. Two offers for the same amount can differ by thousands, and the difference is rarely obvious on the first page of the contract.
When we bring you offers, we walk through each one in these terms before you decide.
How to qualify in Florida
| Requirement | Fast products | Business term loans |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $20,000+/mo in deposits | Same floor, consistent month to month |
| Time in business | 1 year or more | Often 2 years or more |
| Documents | 3–6 months bank statements, ID, voided check | Plus tax returns, P&L, balance sheet, debt schedule |
| Registration | Active FL registration, business bank account | Plus EIN and matching entity records |
Keep NSFs and negative days out of your statements. Avoid stacking multiple advances — a long debt schedule is the most common reason a strong-looking file gets declined.

Frequently asked questions
Who are the best business term loan lenders in Florida?
There is no single best lender — approval depends on your profile. Banks offer the lowest cost if you qualify and can wait. Non-bank lenders are faster and more flexible but cost more. RAN Funding is a broker, so instead of naming one lender we place your file with several and let you compare real offers.
Is RAN Funding a business term loan lender?
No. We are a Florida-based broker and ISO. We do not lend our own money or set rates.
How long does an application take?
Minutes to apply. With statements ready, preliminary offers often come within one to two business days. Larger term loans needing tax returns take longer, sometimes a week.
Will applying hurt my credit score?
Initial review is a soft pull. Some lenders require a hard pull before final approval — you will know first, and it proceeds only with your permission.
Can I get small business term loans in FL with weak credit?
Sometimes, with shorter terms and higher cost. When credit is the obstacle, many files fit a working capital loan better than a term loan.
