How Do Miami Businesses Get Funded in 2026?

Most established Miami businesses qualify for several products at once: a business line of credit for recurring gaps, a term loan for one investment, revenue-based working capital or a merchant cash advance when speed matters more than price, equipment financing for trucks and kitchens, and an SBA loan when the file is strong enough to wait 30 to 60 days. Typical amounts run $10,000 to $2 million, with decisions in hours and funding in 24 to 48 hours on fast products. RAN Funding is a Pembroke Pines-based broker, so one application reaches a network of lenders rather than one bank’s credit box.

Miami-Dade is the most business-dense county in Florida, and its economy leans on three things that strain cash flow: international trade, hospitality and construction. Florida’s small businesses number 3.5 million and employ 3.8 million people, with accommodation and food services (563,000 jobs) and construction (432,000 jobs) among the top sectors, both heavily represented in Miami. Banks lent $10.1 billion in loans of $100,000 or less to Florida businesses in 2023, but most of that goes to files with two-plus years, strong credit and collateral. Miami Industries We Fund Most

These are the Miami industries we place most often, with the product that usually fits and why.

  • Import, export and international trade: Trade companies pay overseas suppliers up front and wait on the buyer side. That is a cash flow problem, not a profit problem. A line of credit fits best, drawn only when a shipment demands it; funding for a large order covers one-off purchases.
  • Restaurants, bars and hospitality: Season in Miami starts in November and the staffing, inventory and marketing bills land in September and October. Card-heavy revenue qualifies for a merchant cash advance; steadier operators do better with restaurant business loans on a weekly or monthly schedule.
  • Construction and specialty trades: Miami contractors front materials and labor on 30- to 90-day pay cycles, often on several jobs at once. Construction business loans, contract bridge funding and A/R financing against signed contracts.
  • Logistics, trucking and freight: Fuel, drivers and equipment are paid weekly; shippers pay in 30 to 45 days. Semi-truck financing for equipment, factoring for receivables, a line for everything in between.
  • Medical, dental and med spa practices: Insurance reimbursement lags and new equipment is expensive, but practices are among the most bankable files we see. Medical practice loans, equipment financing and SBA for build-outs.
  • Retail, grocery and convenience: Inventory buys for the holidays and the season come before the sales do. Inventory financing and short lines of credit sized to monthly deposits.

What Business Loans Cost in Miami in October 2026

Business loan pricing in Florida follows the same benchmarks as the rest of the country, and the benchmark moved in September: the prime rate rose to 7.00% on September 17, 2026, after the Federal Reserve’s first hike since 2023. Here is what that means by product right now.

Product How it is priced Typical cost at Prime 7.00%
SBA 7(a) variable Prime + 3.00 to 6.50 (capped by SBA) 10.00% – 13.50% APR

Fixed-rate products you already hold do not change when Prime moves; lines, SBA variable loans and HELOCs do. Full detail in Prime rate is 7%: what it means for business loan rates and factor rate vs APR.

What Lenders Look for in a Miami File

Lenders underwrite a Miami business the same way they underwrite one anywhere else: deposits, time in business, personal credit, existing debt and, for larger amounts, collateral. The Federal Reserve’s 2026 Small Business Credit Survey shows how those odds play out by product nationally.

  • Bank statements: the last three months (six for larger amounts). Steady deposits of $20,000 a month or more are the minimum for every product in our network; higher deposits open larger amounts.
  • Time in business: sometimes six months for revenue-based products, one year for most term loans and lines, two years for banks and SBA.
  • Personal credit: 500+ for revenue-based financing, 600 – 650 for most online term loans and lines, 680+ for bank and SBA pricing.
  • Existing advances: stacked daily-payment positions are the most common reason a strong Miami file gets cut down. Ask about a reverse consolidation first.
  • Florida paperwork: a Sunbiz-registered entity in good standing, an EIN, a business bank account in the entity’s name and a Florida driver’s license or ID for every owner of 20% or more.

Florida’s Commercial Financing Disclosure Law and Your Rights

Since January 1, 2024, Florida’s Commercial Financing Disclosure Law (HB 1353) has required providers of commercial loans, lines of credit and receivables purchases of $500,000 or less to give Miami borrowers a written disclosure at or before signing. It must show the total funds you receive, the dollar cost of the financing, the payment schedule and any prepayment charges. The law also sets rules for brokers: no advance fees beyond actual costs, no false or misleading statements, and every advertisement must list the broker’s address and phone number. Violations carry fines of $500 per incident, up to $20,000.

What to do with the disclosure. Read the dollar cost line and the payment schedule, then ask for the same numbers from a second lender. The disclosure does not have to show an APR, so convert the cost yourself with our factor rate calculator. Any provider that will not put the numbers in writing before you sign is telling you something.

How Florida compares with other states is covered in merchant cash advance disclosure laws by state.

How to Apply From Miami

You do not need to come to an office. Our team is 20 minutes up I-75 in Pembroke Pines, and the whole process runs by phone, email and e-signature in English or Spanish.

  1. Tell us what the money is for and when you need it. A Miami restaurant covering payroll Friday and a contractor buying a second truck get different products.
  2. Upload three months of business bank statements as PDFs from your online banking, plus a voided check and your driver’s license.
  3. Get offers within hours. One application, one soft credit pull, offers from multiple lenders side by side with the total payback shown on each.
  4. Pick the cheapest product that funds in time. We will tell you if a line or SBA loan beats the fast option, and what the wait costs.
  5. Sign and fund. Most revenue-based products fund in 24 – 48 hours; lines and term loans in 2 – 5 business days; SBA in 30 – 60 days.

Common Questions

How fast can a Miami business get funded?

Revenue-based financing and merchant cash advances fund within 24 to 48 hours of a complete file, and same-day on select products. Lines of credit and term loans take two to five business days. SBA loans take 30 to 60 days.

Can I get a business loan in Miami with bad credit?

Yes, if the business has steady deposits. Revenue-based financing and merchant cash advances approve from about 500 personal credit when monthly revenue is $10,000 or more, and invoice factoring relies on your customers’ credit. Expect higher cost and shorter terms than a bank line.

Do you work with Spanish-speaking business owners in Miami?

Yes. Our team works in English and Spanish, and the full set of guides is available at ranfunding.com/es/ and at the Spanish Miami page linked above.

Is RAN Funding a direct lender in Miami?

No. RAN Funding is a business financing broker headquartered in Pembroke Pines, Florida. We present your application to a network of lenders and show you the offers you qualify for; the funding partner sets the approval, amount, rate, fees and terms.

What does a business loan cost in Florida right now?

With Prime at 7.00%, SBA 7(a) variable loans cap at 10.00% to 13.50%, bank lines run about 8% to 11%, online term loans 10% to 36% APR, and revenue-based products carry factor rates from about 1.11 to 1.50. Your file, not your city, sets the price.

Does Florida require lenders to disclose the cost of a merchant cash advance?

Yes. Florida’s Commercial Financing Disclosure Law has applied since January 1, 2024 to commercial financing of $500,000 or less. Providers must disclose the funds provided, the dollar cost, the payment schedule and prepayment terms at or before signing. An APR is not required, so compare the dollar cost yourself.
