Business Funding Qualification Estimator: See What Your Business Likely Qualifies For Before You Apply

Most owners apply to the wrong product first and read the decline as “no.” The estimator below uses the minimums lenders publish (time in business, monthly deposits, personal credit, open advances, returned payments) and the sizing rules they use (one to one and a half times monthly deposits for deposit-based products, cash-flow coverage for banks) to show which products your file is likely to qualify for in October 2026, roughly how much, and what to fix if the answer is thin. It takes a minute and pulls no credit.

How Do Lenders Decide What You Qualify For?

Five inputs decide most business funding approvals. Time in business sets which products are open (six months for revenue-based financing and equipment, twelve for most online term loans, two years for banks and SBA). Monthly business deposits set the amount: online and revenue-based lenders size at one to one and a half times average deposits, lines at one to two times, banks at what cash flow covers 1.25 times. Personal credit sets the product tier (500+ revenue-based, 600+ online lines and term loans, 680+ bank and SBA). Open advances cut offers in half or block them. Returned payments above three in 90 days are a decline at most funders. A business invoicing other businesses adds factoring, which ignores most of the above. The estimator applies those rules; the actual decision comes from a specialist’s review of three months of statements on a soft pull. Requirements product by product are in business loan requirements.

    How to Read the Results

    • Likely funding range: the low end of the smallest qualifying product to the high end of the largest, before a lender reads the statements. A request above the range is usually approved for less, not declined.
    • Product list: a check means the published minimums are met; a dash shows which minimum is missing, which is the thing to fix.
    • Flags: the one change that would most improve the file (clearing NSFs, clearing an advance, routing deposits, waiting for the six- or twelve-month mark).
    • Bank-ready files: if the bank or SBA row is checked, price those first; the saving over online pricing on $100,000 is $5,000 to $15,000 a year.

What each product costs at October 2026 pricing is in business loan interest rates; the easiest products to qualify for are ranked in easiest business loans to get.

    Common Questions

Does the estimator check my credit?

No. It uses the credit range you select and pulls nothing. The application itself pre-qualifies with a soft pull that does not affect your score.

How accurate is the funding range?

It reflects published lender minimums and typical sizing, so it is a realistic starting point, not an offer. The actual amount depends on the statements (deposit consistency, balances, NSFs), the industry and the lender’s own rules; most files land inside the range or slightly below the high end.

Why does my request come back above the range?

Deposit-based lenders size at one to one and a half times monthly deposits; banks at what cash flow covers. A request above that is usually approved for less rather than declined. Collateral (equipment, receivables) or a bank or SBA route extends the range for files that qualify.

What should I fix first if the result is thin?

In order: clear returned payments and keep the account clean for 90 days; clear or consolidate stacked advances; route every dollar of revenue through one business account; reach the six- or twelve-month mark; raise personal credit above 600, then 680.

    Is RAN Funding a lender?

No. RAN Funding is a business financing broker. We present your application to the funders in our network that fit your profile and show you the offers you qualify for; the funding partner sets the approval, amount, rate, fees and terms.

A note on this article. RAN Funding is a business financing broker, not a lender and not the SBA. This guide explains published program rules and typical lender practice, not a personalized loan offer. Your lender determines eligibility, fees, timing and final terms.
